I went to art school (AKI) in Enschede, whose founding principles were built on Bauhaus; unite creative imagination with a practical knowledge of craftsmanship.

After graduating BA Honours in Fashion&Design I pursued a career in journalistic photography before starting in 1999 as lead creative for various national and international agencies with different DNA; Strawberryfrog, Bates, BBDO and Havas Worldwide.

During the last 15+ years I worked on campaigns for clients like: Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, IKEA, Onitsuka Tiger, KPN, Foot Locker, Interpolis Insurance, Schiphol Airport, Citroën and the world famous Metropole Orchestra.

I was able to create exciting and refreshing work with these clients and win every major advertising award including Cannes Lion, Webby, Clio and Eurobest.

From 2012 I was end responsible for all marketing efforts as Global Creative Director of G-star RAW.

Leading the creative and marketing expressions for the denim brand on a global level.

This resulted in my current role, Head of Art at Dutch fashion brand Scotch & Soda, where I'm responsible for all marketing expressions including channel communication, online communication, retail & instore design, styling & photography.

The Bauhaus fundaments are still important to me; use a conceptual mind, combine different media channels and work with different talent and skills in an environment where applied creativity can make a difference.
